Testimonials

  • Teal, Olympic freestyle skier

The Mental Toughness lessons helped me get a handle on what I'm thinking and feeling when I compete. Now I know what to do when I feel nervous; I am the boss of my thoughts rather than allowing them to boss me around. I can focus on what's in my control and compete with confidence.

  • Kierden, 10 years old, plays flag football, basketball, volleyball, tennis

Shawnee's MT lessons were amazing and very inspiring. She taught me some new things that I try and work on now. Mostly I try and focus on what's in my control and not worry so much about the other stuff.

  • Kim, professional LPGA golfer

Shawnee has completely changed my mindset on the golf course. Her Mental Toughness course has given me actual tools to use in competition to control the nerves and emotions that come with playing at the highest level. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance.

  • Zach, 13 year old hockey player

Shawnee has helped me focus on what's in my control. Instead of worrying about scoring goals, I focus on what I can do, not the outcome. This made me a better goal scorer. After a big loss, Shawnee's tools help me get through it so I'm ready to bounce back next time I'm on the ice.

  • Cathy, Zach's mom

Working with the Mental Toughness concepts has changed how we parent our kids; in sport and life. We have better conversations about losing (and winning) and what's in their control. Our kids have more freedom to play, succeed, fail and most importantly, become independent learners.

  • Scott, hockey dad

We were at wits end, about to call it quits because my son wasn’t enjoying hockey. Shawnee's lessons changed his mindset and 2 days later, he played the best game of his life. He uses his Mental Toughness tools to respond rather than react. Now he's more of a problem solver, less of a complainer.

  • Maddy, basketball coach

This course was filled with amazing content that encouraged me to reflect on my current mental toughness practices as a coach. I learned many strategies for self-development and tools to support my athletes in their Mental Toughness journey. I can’t wait to apply what I learned with my team!

  • Hayden, 15 year old soccer player

The Mental Toughness tools helped me in so many ways. I learned how to NOT get down on myself, how to NOT be scared of messing up and trying new things. I highly recommend this course because it can help you improve your confidence, mental skills and become the best you can be.

  • Ian, Hayden's dad and soccer coach

Putting our athletes through Shawnee’s Mental Toughness course, opened their minds and provided them with a box of usable tools. It also gave our coaches a deeper understanding of the psychological effects of competition on young competitors. This course is a must!
