This phrase really resonated with me, “You are free to think but you are not free from the consequences of your thoughts.” Now I understand the difference between toward and away thoughts. Life and sport presents many challenges. Now I can identify and choose a toward instead of an away thought cycle. I loved these concepts and I can implement them into my life right away. There are many opportunities to grow every day as The Boss of Your Thoughts to become a better athlete and person.

Everyone should take this course! It's life changing! I have learned to overcome many of my thoughts that lead to negative feelings. I pay attention to choosing thoughts that are progressive, abundant, confident, and positive. Clarity of thought, decisive thoughts, are powerful and positive and they lead to powerful and positive actions. Now I can get "unstuck". I'm now solving the right problem. Yeah! This new way of thinking is because of Shawnee's course. Now I'm The Boss!

Shawnee taught me how to identify when I'm in a negative thought cycle and how to get out by being The Boss of Your Thoughts. This will make a huge difference in my sport as it will let me calm my mind down during the big moments in games! Not only does this help in sport but it helps in my life because I’m able to recognize good thoughts from bad, repetitive thoughts. I can shift from negative, repetitive thoughts of, "I can't do this," to thoughts that help me do better and take me toward my goals.
